Ryan was called to the bar in 2016. Prior to joining Willis Business Law, he worked and articled for a law firm specializing in litigation and class proceedings. He now wants to help clients build strategies to avoid litigation. Ryan’s practice at Willis Business Law focuses on corporate law with an emphasis on helping the firm’s family business clients, estate and contingency planning, and non-profit corporations and board governance..
Ryan attended law school in Victoria, British Columbia. He helped his professor complete a book on law and corruption and he won a scholarship to study German law in summer 2013. Prior to law school, Ryan completed his Masters Degree at the University of Toronto and worked for his family’s manufacturing business. He prides himself on his attention to detail.
Ryan has completed the Osgoode Hall Intensive Program in Wills & Estates and year 1 of the In-depth tax course. Ryan is involved in various committees including the Grants Committee at Windsor-Essex Community Foundation and the Town of Lakeshore Community Advisory Committee. Ryan will also be teaching at St. Clair College in Fall 2019.
When Ryan isn’t reading up on the latest decisions from the Court of Appeal, he likes to run half marathons and spend time with his dogs.
