Our Student Program
Lawyers and students at Willis Business Law have the opportunity to make their own mark on the firm early in their careers and contribute to its growth and future success. All of our lawyers and staff members share certain core values including integrity, enthusiasm, and respect for one another.
As a Willis Business Law student, you will have the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to transactions that are critical to our clients’ success. Our students are fully immersed and engaged in a variety of sophisticated transactions. Our students are afforded a high degree of autonomy and responsibility from the outset – as we think that students learn best “by doing”.
Our student’s role varies based on the deliverable. As a student at Willis Business Law, you may be involved in such things as:
- drafting key legal documents (such as purchase agreements, loan documents, and commercial leases);
- conducting legal due diligence on businesses;
- coordinating the closing of transactions; dealing with regulatory bodies; and
- researching complex legal issues.
The scope of a student’s work is broad and our students are given a high level of responsibility, all within a dynamic and supportive work environment.
