Thank you for your interest in Willis Business Law. I am proud to serve as Chair of the Student Committee. Willis Business Law is an exciting place to learn and work. As a business law firm, our public and private sector clients constantly challenge us with complex, unique, and stimulating deliverables.

Our students play a vital role in the work we do. As a student at Willis Business Law, you will be directly involved in our team-based approach to solving these challenges.

I encourage you to meet our team members and learn more about our firm.

Our Student Program

Lawyers and students at Willis Business Law have the opportunity to make their own mark on the firm early in their careers and contribute to its growth and future success.  All of our lawyers and staff members share certain core values including integrity, enthusiasm, and respect for one another.

As a Willis Business Law student,  you will have the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to transactions that are critical to our clients’ success.  Our students are fully immersed and engaged in a variety of sophisticated transactions.  Our students are afforded a high degree of autonomy and responsibility from the outset – as we think that students learn best “by doing”.

Our student’s role varies based on the deliverable. As a student at Willis Business Law, you may be involved in such things as:

  • drafting key legal documents (such as purchase agreements, loan documents, and commercial leases);
  • conducting legal due diligence on businesses;
  • coordinating the closing of transactions;
  • dealing with regulatory bodies; and
  • researching complex legal issues.

The scope of a student’s work is broad and our students are given a high level of responsibility, all within a dynamic and supportive work environment.
